Then you will be transported in a comfortable car for approximately one hour from Alexandria to the City of Rosetta. When you arrive, you'll be greeted by the Rashid Museum, a one-of-a-kind black and red brick home nestled within the charming streets of the city. Another Alexandria day tour to the Mill of Abu Shaheen will give you the opportunity to visit a house that serves the needs of the family and local community. After exploring the Houses, you'll stroll a short distance with our guide to visit the 'Hanging Mosque', a unique building that stands out among Egyptian mosques. Finally, we'll guide you to the Citadel of Qaitbay, a magnificent fortress built in 1479 on the outskirts of the city. Located alongside the majestic Nile River, this structure was built as a strategic defense mechanism to safeguard against potential threats from the Mediterranean region. Feel free to take your time and reach the highest point of the Citadel, located next to the protected fences. From there, you will be able to witness the breathtaking views where the Nile River merges with the Mediterranean.
After our visit to the Citadel, we'll make our way back to Alexandria and take a break for lunch at a nearby local restaurant.
