Our first optional stop will be Saqqara, where you'll stand in awe of the Step Pyramid of Djoser, the oldest stone pyramid in the world. The entire place radiates a mysterious energy, as if you're standing at the beginning of the concept of "building for eternity."

Afternoon: Memphis and Dahshur

Then we'll pass by Memphis, the first capital of unified Egypt, home to a colossal statue of Ramses II, lying as if asleep in royal tranquility.
