Morning: The Grand Egyptian Museum

After breakfast at the hotel, our tour guide, certified by Egypt Online Tour, will head to the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities – one of the most important museums in the world.

The Grand Egyptian Museum (Grand Museum)

One of the world's largest cultural projects, located next to the Pyramids of Giza, it combines ancient history with modern design. Here are its most prominent landmarks, according to the latest data available until May 2025:

• The Main Hall: Displays the statue of Ramses II, the statues of Senusret, and the Victory Column of Merneptah.
• The Grand Staircase: Considered a unique architectural landmark.

In the afternoon, we move to the Giza Pyramids – the greatest wonders of the ancient world that still stand today.

Visit the three pyramids: Cheops (the largest), Khafre (the largest), and Menkaure (the largest). Our guide will provide an interesting historical explanation of each pyramid and its secrets. Here are some key facts about them:

The Great Pyramid of Khufu

• Erected in 2560 BC, it is considered an architectural marvel thanks to the contribution of skilled workers from all over Egypt.
• Its original height was 148 meters (the tallest building in the world for 3,800 years).
• It has been associated with myths such as its construction by aliens, Atlantis, or magic.
• A massive national project that reflects the development of ancient Egyptian engineering.

The Pyramid of Khafre

• Khufu's son, built it at a height of 143.5 meters (currently 136 meters), with an inclination of 53.1°.
• Part of its outer cladding is still visible at the summit.
• It houses the Great Sphinx, carved from a single rock.
• Famous statues were found in its temple, such as the schist statue of Khafre (on display in the Egyptian Museum).

The Pyramid of Menkaure (the Sacred)

• The smallest of the Giza pyramids, standing 65.5 meters (currently 62 meters) tall.
• Its lower part was constructed from Aswan granite.
• A wooden sarcophagus bearing the name of Menkaure was found inside, while his mummy is preserved in the British Museum.
• It is surrounded by three smaller pyramids dedicated to queens.

The Great Sphinx

• The statue has the body of a lion (symbolizing strength) and the head of a human (symbolizing wisdom), and its facial features are believed to be identical to those of Khafre.
