Day 3 Luxor East Bank .
The Luxor East Bank is a must-visit destination for any traveler on their Egypt trip. Dedicated to the Egyptian gods Amon, Mut, and their son Khonsu, it is divided into four main sections, with only the largest currently open to the public.
During your visit to Luxor East Bank, you will explore the Precinct of Montu, the Precinct of Mut, and the ancient Temple of Amenhotep IV, which is unfortunately no longer accessible to the public. Additionally, there are several smaller temples and sanctuaries to discover. The Hypostyle Hall of Karnak, one of the most famous features, stands out with its 50,000-square-foot size and 134 massive pillars arranged in sixteen lines.
We will then proceed to visit the renowned Luxor Temple, part of our Egypt excursions, which was built by Amenhotep III during the 18th Dynasty. For more historical context, it is worth noting that the temple was completed by Ramesses II during the 19th Dynasty. Unlike other temples in Thebes, Luxor Temple does not belong to a specific deity. Instead, it honors the art of kingship and transformation.
Finally, we will return you to your hotel in Luxor, where there are endless activities and sights to see. If you have time and wish to add something extra to your itinerary, please inform us; we will be happy to arrange it for you.
You'll enjoy your breakfast in the morning. Following that, we'll drive you to Luxor International Airport for your flight to Cairo. Upon arrival, our tour guide will welcome you and escort you to your hotel for an overnight stay in Cairo.
After breakfast, our personal tour guide will join you for a visit to the Giza Plateau, where you'll explore the Great Pyramids of Giza (including Cheops, Chefren, and Mykerinus), the Sphinx, and the Valley Temple.
Day 6 Cairo City Tour.
Begin your day with your guide at the Egyptian Museum and Treasures Room, where you'll have the opportunity to see the treasures of the child king Tutankhamun.
Day 7 Alexandria Tour.
After breakfast, our guide and driver will take you to Alexandria, where our tour begins with a visit to the Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa. This is the largest Roman Cemetery, consisting of three levels carved into the rock. Next, we'll embark on a journey to Alexandria's Roman Amphitheater, where you'll have the opportunity to see the city's submerged monuments located beneath its East Harbour. As we pass Pompay's Pillar, built at the end of the 4th century in honor of Emperor Diocletian, we'll take a moment for a photo opportunity. Our next stop is the Library of Alexandria, the world's largest known library, housing over eight million books. Here, you can admire the statues of Alexander the Great and Ptolemy the First, which were discovered underwater in the library's open courtyard. We'll also visit the famous Manuscripts Museum, President Sadat Museum, and the Alexandria Museum. Please note that the Library of Alexandria is closed on Fridays and all public holidays. After exploring the museums and their artifacts, we'll head to the St. Mark Church, the oldest church in Africa. During the drive, you'll also get a chance to see the old downtown and the local historical architecture, featuring Italian and French influences, as well as baroque style designs. Our tour will continue with a visit to the El Nabi Daniel Mosque, believed to be connected to the tomb of Alexander the Great. This mosque is said to house the remains of the scholar and revered teacher Prophet Daniel and his companion Sidi Lokman al Hakim, a religious storyteller. After this, you can enjoy lunch at Mohamed Ahmed’s, a famous and traditional Alexandrian food spot. Following lunch, we'll drive to the Abo Al Abbas Mosque, considered the most beautiful mosque in the city. Here, you'll be able to see the most unusual sight outside the mosque—an old funfair where children play on antique rides and enjoy candy floss. On the other side, you can explore the corniche and the old harbor of Alexandria, where you'll find fishermen casting nets on old fishing boats and traditional fishermen at work. Capturing stunning photos here is highly recommended. Now, our tour will take us to the Castle of Qaitbay, built on the site of the ancient Lighthouse of Alexandria, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Inside the castle, you'll have the chance to explore all its parts.
Day 8 Cairo, Khan El Khalili, Citadel and a half day free at leisure.
We start our day with a stroll around the Khan El Khalili Bazaar to browse and shop.
Day 9 Departure day.
After breakfast we will take you to Cairo International Airport and help you with the final departure formalities. Your meal includes breakfast only.
